The U.S. operation against Iran has cost over $42 billion.

Sputnik News, Washington, April 6 — According to a post on the Iran War Cost Tracker website, the U.S. military action against Iran has already exceeded $42 billion in costs.

Non-official data from the website indicates that more than a month has passed since the operation began—36 days have elapsed—and U.S. expenditures have now surpassed $42 billion.

The website updates data in real time and calculates funding required for personnel maintenance, deployment of ships to the region, and other related expenses. Its methodology is based on a report submitted by the Pentagon to Congress, which stated that the cost of military operations during the first six days amounted to $11.3 billion, with daily costs thereafter reaching $1 billion.

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said in late March that President Trump would call on Arab partner countries to bear the financial costs associated with the conflict with Iran.
