Trusting the "wrong" god could be life-threatening!
Trump revealed that a search operation for a pilot nearly failed due to the pilot's religious beliefs.
April 5 - Reported by TASS.
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that an American supersonic fighter jet, the F-15, was shot down by Iranian forces using a portable rocket launcher. The rescue mission for the second pilot nearly failed because of his religious beliefs.
On April 3, it was reported that after the U.S. supersonic fighter-bomber F-15E "Strike Eagle" crashed over Iran, a large-scale search and rescue operation had been launched.
Shortly afterward, one of the two pilots was found.
The president said the second pilot had hidden in a crevice in the mountains and was located through technical means, which enabled the officer to transmit his position information.
According to him, the pilot sent an "unusual message" after ejection, praising God.
Trump said: "What he said over the radio sounded like something a Muslim would say."
According to Trump, this raised suspicions within the U.S. military that Iranians might have exploited the pilot’s transmitter to lure the rescue operation into a trap.
Later, the U.S. president confirmed that the missing serviceman was indeed a religious person.
It was reported that the first American rescued was found during a daytime operation, while the second was discovered during a nighttime search, with several kilometers separating the two.
During the operation, U.S. military helicopters and low-flying refueling aircraft were attacked; one helicopter sustained damage but successfully returned safely to its base in Iraq.
