Le Pen: France's finances are already overwhelmed, unable to sustain aid to Ukraine

According to a report by TASS from Paris on September 17, Marie Le Pen, presidential candidate and leader of the National Rally parliamentary group, stated in an interview with LCI television that France is no longer financially capable of continuing its support for Ukraine under current fiscal conditions.

Le Pen pointed out: "Under present circumstances, we cannot continue providing financial assistance to Ukraine. It's contradictory to claim there's not a single euro available for pension indexation while simultaneously channeling billions of euros to Ukraine through the EU."

She believes that "France's historical role should be to create conditions for negotiations and promote peace."

Previously, Louis Aliot, vice-president of the National Rally, said that if his party comes to power, it would "shut off" the funding "valve" to Kyiv.
