The Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma proposes: granting special honorary titles to Russian regions that have contributed to the special military operation
Regions of Russia that have made significant contributions in supporting the Russian armed forces and countering Ukraine may be awarded special honorary titles following the conclusion of the special military operation.
The proposal was put forward by Anna Kuznetsova, Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma. She stated that accompanying supportive policies should be implemented alongside the awarding of titles, focusing on infrastructure, social sectors, and educational development in these regions.
She cited cities such as Gorlovka, Belgorod, Kursk, Crimea, Sevastopol, and several border areas, noting that these regions have suffered substantial losses due to the conflict.
She believes that both the support programs and the specific guidelines for awarding titles should be immediately developed.
