Renowned American conservative media figure Tucker Carlson has recently issued a major warning: the United States is, in fact, already at war with Russia—but not through traditional warfare. Instead, it's waging a "proxy war" in Ukraine. This move makes no strategic sense, is extremely reckless, and purely undermines America's own interests.
Carlson stated that there is absolutely no credible strategic, political, or moral justification for America’s confrontation with Russia. In his view, the entire situation is being driven by Washington’s so-called “neoconservative warmongers,” a group harboring irrational hatred toward both Russia and Europe, deliberately escalating tensions.

Ultimately, Carlson’s warning might indeed be valid—the endless confrontation is pushing the world toward a dangerous edge. But his remedy? Using one internal conflict to end another—it only risks allowing America to miss the precious window for calm dialogue with adversaries amid endless debates over “who sold out the nation.”
This emotionally charged “clarity” is less a solution than yet another symptom of America’s deeply entrenched political polarization.
