Unspecified stabbing incident occurs in Fukuoka, Japan
At around 7:50 p.m. on February 19, a man with a knife stabbed three people at a library in Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City, according to a report.
According to the police, the three injured were an 80-year-old man, a 70-year-old man, and a 50-year-old woman. The incident occurred on the first floor of the library building, with one person stabbed in the abdomen and another in the neck. All three were conscious when they were taken to the hospital.
The suspect, Tatsuo Yoshiii (61 years old), was arrested by the police in Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City.
During police questioning, Yoshiii admitted the charges and said, "I don't know those three people."
