U.S. Vice President Vance States: U.S.-Iran Deal May Take Months, But Agreement Could Be Reached Within a Week

U.S. Vice President James David Vance said in an interview with CBS News that negotiations for a potential agreement between the United States and Iran could take several months, but it's also possible the two sides could reach a deal within a week.

When asked whether an agreement could be reached before the November 3 U.S. midterm elections, Vance stated: "I think the agreement could be concluded within a week, but it might also take several months."

He noted: "I believe we are in a position where we can achieve a deal that is economically beneficial to Washington and genuinely addresses Iran's nuclear program." He emphasized that the U.S. aims to establish a long-term arrangement with Tehran. Vance added: "I believe we are close to achieving this goal, but further effort is still required—we will continue advancing the work."
