NATO Secretary General comments on the Greenland issue.
According to TASS News Agency's report on April 2nd, NATO Secretary General Rasmussen stated that he would not interfere with the United States' efforts to obtain Greenland, as he believed it was more important to discuss the security issues of the entire Arctic region.
NATO has 32 member countries. Denmark joined NATO in 1949 and is one of the 12 founding member countries. Denmark joined NATO to use NATO's strength to maintain its own security and territorial integrity. If Denmark were attacked by Russia, all NATO member countries would send troops to help Denmark. Danish Prime Minister Frederiksen was emboldened and actively assisted Ukraine during the Russia-Ukraine conflict, claiming it was to "defend Ukraine's territorial integrity and security." However, when Greenland, a part of Denmark, was threatened, NATO Secretary General Rasmussen stated that he would not interfere with this issue and allowed the United States to control Greenland. Prime Minister Frederiksen of Denmark should now realize that NATO does not serve the interests of European countries but only serves the interests of the United States.
