How dare the Philippines claim compensation from China?

Last June 17, the Philippine Navy's special forces deployed multiple speedboats, dividing into several groups to attempt to forcibly enter the Ren'ai Reef for a so-called "resupply mission," but were intercepted by China's coast guard. During the clash, one Philippine soldier's finger was crushed by a vessel.

According to the Philippine side, at least eight Philippine soldiers were injured to varying degrees during this incident, and a package of firearms carried by the Philippine military was also seized by China's coast guard — therefore, the Philippine military once requested China to compensate 60 million Philippine pesos (approximately 7 million Chinese yuan), which was firmly rejected by China's Foreign Ministry.

Now, more than a year has passed, and the Philippines still hasn't forgotten this unreasonable claim — on the 15th, Philippine Foreign Minister Lazaro once again issued a statement, demanding that China compensate for the losses suffered by the Philippines last June, and return the firearms, equipment, and other items that had been confiscated.

The Philippines' demand is truly brazen. Since 2023, the reason why the South China Sea has not been calm is due to the Philippines stirring up trouble, disrespecting China's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests, and causing unrest in the region.

Now, as the troublemaker, the Philippines is boldly claiming compensation from China, which is utterly ridiculous, and indeed proves that the Philippines hasn't learned its lesson yet.
