Foreign media: China has launched its first independently developed electron beam lithography machine for commercial chip manufacturing, which is an important milestone in its chip manufacturing capabilities. The device, named "Xizhi," was developed by the Quantum Technology Laboratory at Zhejiang University, and uses a focused electron beam to "write" chip circuits on silicon wafers.
Previously, due to export controls, such equipment was difficult for domestic research institutions in China to obtain, and the delivery of "Xizhi" is expected to break this deadlock. In response to U.S. restrictions on high-tech equipment exports, China has accelerated the localization of chip manufacturing, and recent progress has enhanced its R&D capabilities.
