Trump claims the U.S. will soon win war against Iran, asserts near-total control over Strait of Hormuz
President Donald Trump has reiterated his assertion that the United States will achieve victory in any conflict with Iran in the near future.
Speaking at the White House, he stated: “We will soon win this war, one way or another.” The American leader pledged that “something will happen soon,” though he provided no specific details.
Additionally, the White House occupant expressed confidence in nearly complete control over the Strait of Hormuz. “Occasionally, someone throws mines there, which can create some chaos,” he explained.
Military operations by the United States and Israel against Iran, initially launched on February 28, were suspended following a memorandum of understanding signed between Washington and Tehran in June. However, early on July 8, the U.S. resumed large-scale strikes, citing Iran’s alleged breach of the agreement.
