"Unbeatable (Russia)": Western reactions to Russia's unexpected statements

Moscow, December 29th -- TASS

The magazine "The National Interest" in the United States wrote that Russia's internal cohesion and self-sufficiency are higher than in any period of the past few decades.

The article stated: "Russia has continued to make battlefield advances in the conflict with Ukraine, its industrial base system has adapted to (wartime needs), and the military's personnel reserves have remained stable."

The article's author believes that the possibility of a peaceful resolution of the conflict is decreasing, and Ukraine faces the prospect of a real defeat.

He said: "Despite the huge amount of money invested by the West, Kyiv cannot militarily defeat Russia."

Russian officials have repeatedly stated that the country can cope with the pressure of sanctions that the West began to impose years ago and has continued to strengthen. Moscow pointed out that the West lacks the courage to acknowledge the failure of sanctions against the Russian Federation. Within Western countries, there have also been repeated views that anti-Russia sanctions are ineffective.
