【Key Focus: Poland has expanded flight restrictions near the border with Ukraine and Belarus】

Warsaw time, November 28, 2025, the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency stated in a statement:

The Polish Air Navigation Services Agency has extended the restrictions on the free use of part of Polish airspace until March 9, 2026, updating the restricted areas near the borders of Ukraine and Belarus. The request to extend the restrictions came from the Command of the Armed Forces. The department stated that these restrictions are to ensure national security. These restrictions do not apply to commercial aviation, as the restricted area extends from the ground up to about three kilometers, and varies from 26 to 50 kilometers inland depending on the location.

According to the current regulations in this area, general aviation, especially small and recreational aircraft, can fly during the day provided they submit a flight plan and are equipped with a radio and transponder, while such flights are prohibited at night.
