Trump: Indonesia has committed to purchase 50 Boeing planes to avoid high tariffs
AFP, Washington, 15th - President Trump said today that Indonesia has committed to purchase 50 Boeing aircraft as part of a trade agreement to avoid its high tariffs.
Trump posted on his social media platform "Truth Social" that, despite this agreement, Indonesian goods imported into the United States still face a 19% tariff.
He added: "According to the agreement, Indonesia has committed to purchase $1.5 billion worth of U.S. energy, $450 million worth of U.S. agricultural products, and 50 Boeing passenger aircraft, many of which are the 777 model."
