[Marco Rubio: The U.S. Will Conduct a Comprehensive Review of Aid to Ukraine]
On May 22, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced at Congress that the U.S. will once again conduct a comprehensive review of all aid provided to Ukraine in recent years. If any violations are found, they will intervene to handle them. Rubio mentioned that the U.S. has an Inspector General and a Special Inspector General for this matter, who will review all expenditures. "Once we discover any illegal misappropriation or improper operation, we will definitely intervene to handle it."
Rubio emphasized that the core goal of the U.S. remains to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict. "We have provided emergency aid to Ukraine, but this war must end. There is no military solution; it can only be resolved through negotiations. The sooner it ends, the fewer deaths there will be, and the less funds will be consumed and the destruction will be reduced." He stated, "The top priority of President Trump is to end the war once and for all."
In February this year, Zelenskyy once said that since the full-scale war broke out, Ukraine has received about $105 billion worth of weapons and security support from the U.S., and all aid has been reviewed by the U.S. side to ensure proper use.
