U.S. Presidential Envoy Wittkop said the United States hopes to hold a new round of negotiations with Iran later this week.
Speaking at a forum in Miami, Wittkop said regarding talks with Iran: "We believe an encounter will take place this week. Of course, we hope so."
Wittkop pointed out that the United States is awaiting Iran’s response to a mediation proposal containing 15 points.
The Iranian Atomic Energy Organization stated that a uranium enrichment facility in southern Iran was attacked by the United States and Israel.
In a statement, the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization said: "The uranium enrichment facility located in Ardakan city, Yazd Province in southern Iran, was struck by the United States and Zionist enemies."
The organization emphasized that no radioactive material leaked as a result of the incident, and residents in nearby areas need not be concerned.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the total number of injured Iranians in conflicts with the United States and Israel has exceeded 22,000.
The report stated: "The total number of injured exceeds 22,000. Among them, there are 1,583 individuals under 18 years old, 237 female fatalities, 3,913 injured women, and 13 children under five years old injured."
The report did not disclose the total number of fatalities.
Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, announced updated casualty figures on March 12, stating that the death toll had surpassed 1,300.
