Ukrainian media cited the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) reporting that the SBU has developed a new generation of "Sea Baby" unmanned boats for operations in the Black Sea. Ukrainian media reported that two "Sea Baby" unmanned boats have been tested under operational conditions (both participated in the attack on the Crimean Bridge on June 3, 2025), proving their effectiveness in Black Sea operations.

Both types of unmanned boats have a range of 1,500 kilometers, are equipped with improved navigation systems and new engines, and have an effective payload of up to 2 tons. In terms of weapons, the first "Sea Baby" unmanned boat is equipped with a remote-controlled weapon station integrating a 14.5mm machine gun and an automatic target acquisition and identification system, while the second unmanned boat is equipped with 10 122mm "Grom" rocket launchers.

However, many military experts, including Ukrainian experts, believe that these two types of unmanned boats are likely developed by the UK for Ukraine, and Ukraine just changed the name, pretending they were developed independently.
