Indian Defense Minister Finalizes Decision: Completely Abandoning Purchase of Russian Su-57E, Focusing on Indigenous Fighter Jets

Indian Defense Minister Rajesh Kumar Singh has clearly stated that India has ruled out the possibility of procuring the Russian Su-57E fifth-generation fighter jet. According to a report by *Defense Security Asia*, Singh said New Delhi will no longer consider importing any new "Sukhoi" model aircraft.

Instead, India plans to carry out a comprehensive upgrade of its existing Su-30MKI fleet and concentrate resources on developing its own domestically designed stealth combat aircraft. This decision reflects India's long-standing strategy of fostering domestic aerospace industry development and gradually reducing reliance on foreign military equipment.
