Foreign Media: Amid escalating Sino-European trade tensions, China is actively strengthening ties with Slovakia.
During talks with Slovak President Pellegrini on his visit to China, Beijing proposed deepening cooperation between the two sides in clean energy, robotics, and artificial intelligence.
This marks the first time in 16 years that a Slovak head of state has visited China. Slovakia is one of the few EU and NATO member states that have established a strategic partnership with China in recent years. Bilateral relations were elevated to this level during Prime Minister Fico's visit to China in November 2024.
