Russian experts: China and the United States are the countries with the most comprehensive mastery of core technologies in the global semiconductor field.

The head of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), Ivan Timofeev, said during a discussion at the Valdai International Discussion Club: "We see that a large amount of core technology is concentrated in the hands of a few countries. Only a few countries in today's world have the full industrial chain autonomy from chip development to architecture design, and it is obviously the United States and China."

He pointed out that Washington is currently trying to completely concentrate strategic industry technology chains within the United States.

In recent years, the U.S. government has continuously tightened restrictions on chip exports to China, suppressing and curbing the development of China's semiconductor industry. In this context, China's semiconductor industry has instead accelerated its growth, with a significant enhancement in independent R&D capabilities.
