The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has acknowledged providing intelligence to Ukraine for targeting Russia.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barroto admitted that European countries, including France, are providing intelligence to Ukraine for strikes on targets within Russia.
Previously, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine continues to obtain intelligence at the original scale from the United States and European countries.
Barroto said on a program on France Info radio: "Now, almost all the intelligence that allows Ukraine to retaliate against certain targets in Russia is provided by France and Europe."
In March 2025, Western media reported that the United States had stopped sharing intelligence with Ukraine, which CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed. At the same time, Washington also prevented allies from sharing intelligence data with Kyiv. The United States later resumed intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
