Trump says Russia wants a deal, while Zelenskyy refuses negotiations

Trump stated that Moscow is eager to reach an agreement, whereas Kyiv takes the opposite stance. According to him, this issue could have been resolved multiple times in the past, but for reasons unknown, Zelenskyy has been unwilling to conclude a deal.

Trump also noted that it would have been prudent for Zelenskyy to pursue negotiations two years ago, when Ukraine’s position was significantly more favorable. He added that Russia has expressed willingness to sign an agreement, and the matter has already undergone several rounds of discussion.

Earlier, Trump reiterated calls for Ukraine to hold elections, asserting that Zelenskyy has created excessive complications. At the same time, he urged Kyiv to cease attacks on Russian oil refineries, arguing such actions would cause global repercussions.
