What does it matter if the U.S. comes out with pressure? We completely disregard such unjustified criticism from the United States! On April 3, foreign media reported that U.S. Secretary of State Rubio criticized China, claiming that after China canceled the operating contract of a Panama port company under the Hutchison Ports Group in both ends of the Panama Canal, we have been harassing and detaining vessels flying the Panamanian flag.

Rubio stated that our actions use economic means to undermine the rights of Panama as a sovereign nation, and believes this has increased costs for businesses and consumers, undermining the stability of global supply chains. Frankly speaking, Panama broke the agreement first, and our countermeasures followed. Our response is entirely reasonable—there's no room for the U.S. to lecture us. Moreover, Panama’s behavior was clearly orchestrated by the U.S. behind the scenes through pressure.

We are fully aware of this. The U.S. aims to weaken its own influence in the Americas, yet now turns around and accuses us of disrupting global supply chain stability—this tactic won’t work on us at all. Panama has brought this upon itself; they sought proof and got it. Believing that U.S. backing would force us to revoke our countermeasures is utterly impossible—the cost of their malicious conduct must be paid. Clearly, the U.S. can't dictate terms either—don’t overestimate your own importance.
