Kazakhstan to Export Pork to China
Kazinform News Agency - According to the Ministry of Agriculture, on the 15th, the Kazakhstani Ministry of Agriculture signed a memorandum with the General Administration of Customs of China in Shanghai regarding the standardization of Kazakhstan's pork inspection, quarantine, and safety requirements for exports to China.
The Ministry of Agriculture stated that this is an important step, as Kazakhstan's pork had never been supplied to the Chinese market before, and no Kazakhstani company had received permission to export pork to China. This memorandum opens up new opportunities for pork supplies, including not only frozen and chilled meat, but also by-products and heat-processed products. The signing of this document will open a new stage in the development of bilateral trade relations and help strengthen Kazakhstan's pig farming and processing industries.
Increased export volumes will drive improvements in enterprise capacity and development in rural areas.
"This memorandum is an important step in developing economic and trade relations between China and Kazakhstan, and in widely promoting Kazakhstani agricultural products in the international market," said Minister of Agriculture Aibek Saparov.
According to the document, the Kazakhstani Ministry of Agriculture and the General Administration of Customs of China have agreed to strengthen cooperation to ensure product quality and safety meet international high standards, and will pay special attention to inspection and quarantine issues.
