【By Lin Chenli, Observers Network】Recently, Georgia Congresswoman Taylor Greene, known as the "Queen" of MAGA, has split with U.S. President Trump over her demand to release documents related to the Epstein case. On November 16th local time, she said on social media that she had received pipe bomb threats, as Trump's attacks on her had incited extremists.
The Epstein case is becoming a trigger for divisions within the Republican Party and the MAGA movement. Greene is one of the people pushing for the release of the Epstein case documents, and she has repeatedly criticized Trump for focusing too much on foreign policy and ignoring domestic issues and economic problems.
On November 14th local time, Trump suddenly erupted, announcing he would withdraw his support and endorsement for Greene in the midterm elections and calling her a "yelling madman." Greene retaliated by saying Trump's move was an example to scare others, aiming to prevent the release of the Epstein-related documents. Since then, the conflict between them has continued to escalate.

At local time September 3rd, Taylor Greene attended a press conference in Washington D.C. with victims of the Epstein case. CNN
On November 16th local time, Greene posted on X: "Now there are prank pizzas being delivered to my home and my family's. My building company's office also received a pipe bomb threat. The president's baseless and malicious attacks on me are tantamount to sending a signal to dangerous extremists, which could lead to serious attacks on me and my family."
She wrote: "I've experienced this before. In fact, during my campaign across the country and when I supported President Trump, my home and family's residence received dozens of false alarm calls, as well as prank pizza deliveries. More seriously, the number of death threats I received ranks among the highest for members of Congress, leading to the conviction of several men."
Greene emphasized that now Trump calls her a "traitor," which is completely "false and terrifying," and the timing of Trump's decision to break with her coincided with the day before the House was to vote on releasing the Epstein case documents.
"I am not a traitor, but when the president of the United States recklessly calls a member of his own party a traitor, he is actually implying what should be done to traitors. Harmful and dangerous statements in politics must stop," Greene said.

It is reported that the U.S. House will soon vote on the "Epstein File Transparency Act." If passed, the bill will force the Department of Justice to publicly release the relevant documents. The vote may take place as early as November 18th local time. Greene is one of four Republicans who signed a motion to force the House to vote on releasing the Department of Justice's Epstein-related documents.
On the 16th local time, one of the co-sponsors of the bill, Republican Congressman Thomas Massie, said that up to 100 Republican congressmen might vote in favor.
Greene also reiterated to the media that although she still supports Trump, she disagrees with his attempt to cover up the Epstein files. "I believe our country should maintain transparency on these documents. I don't think powerful people should be protected if they do something wrong."
She added, "I have no idea what's in the files; I can't even guess. But the question everyone is asking is, why are some people so determined to oppose the release of the documents?"
In response to the accusations related to the Epstein case, Trump has repeatedly insisted that the calls for releasing his relationship with Epstein are a "fraud." On the 14th local time, Trump ordered the Department of Justice to investigate Democrats associated with Epstein.
He posted on social media that he had asked the Department of Justice and its FBI to investigate relationships between Epstein and former President Bill Clinton, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, and JPMorgan, among others.
Analysts believe this move aims to "offset" the impact of recently released Democratic materials involving Trump.
The New York Times described Trump's response to the recently exposed Epstein content as once again using his usual strategy when dealing with crises: shifting focus, blaming others, or changing the subject. He even tries to pull opponents into the scene and then walk away.
Since entering Congress in 2021, Greene has been one of the most steadfast and vocal supporters of the Trump camp, regarded as one of the core figures of the MAGA movement. Trump has long held high regard for her, calling her "brave" and "fearless," and has supported her in the 2022 and 2024 Republican intra-party struggles, quickly elevating her position within the party.
Regarding the public split between the two former closest allies, "Politico" pointed out that their open confrontation highlights the growing divisions within the MAGA movement.
The report points out that it is currently a sensitive moment for the Republican Party. The party suffered heavy losses in recent local elections, partly due to effective campaigns by Democrats on government shutdowns and cost-of-living issues. Democrats hope to continue this momentum into the midterm elections to regain control of the House.
The U.S. will hold congressional midterm elections next year, and support from MAGA is equally important for the Republican election prospects. AP stated that Greene and Trump's parting ways indicate more fractures within the MAGA movement before the upcoming midterm elections. Just earlier this month, Democrats won victories in the New York City mayoral election, as well as in the governor's races in Virginia and New Jersey.
