Foreign Media: Semiconductor packaging and storage chip expert Shi Guojun has left the University of California, Irvine, and joined China's leading conductive materials enterprise Dike Electronic Materials as Chief Strategic Scientist and Director of the Institute for Future Industries, responsible for the company's emerging industry strategy planning and development, focusing on advancing the semiconductor memory business.
Shi Guojun graduated from Nanjing Institute of Meteorology in 1983, then pursued a master's degree in micrometeorology at the University of Guelph in Canada. In 1992, he earned a Ph.D. in chemical engineering and materials science from the California Institute of Technology, and subsequently taught at the University of California, Irvine for over 20 years, publishing more than 200 papers. In 2010, he received the IEEE-CPMT Society Outstanding Continuous Technical Contribution Award, and in 2011, he was elected as an IEEE Fellow.
