June 9, Russian Railways (RZD) announced that from local time June 17, the company will resume international railway passenger services between Russia and North Korea.
The train service between Moscow (Russia) and Pyongyang (North Korea) will resume a frequency of two trips per month starting from June 17; the service between Khabarovsk (Russia) and Pyongyang (North Korea) will start running once a month from June 19.
In February 2020, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Russia and North Korea suspended their railway passenger services.
