Russia's Foreign Ministry Condemns Ukrainian Forces' Attack on Children: Celebrating International Children's Day with Blood
Moscow, June 1 — TASS
Maria Zakharova, official spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, told TASS that the Kyiv regime welcomed International Children's Day by killing a child through a drone attack in Khersonsk.
Zakharova stated: "The Kyiv regime deliberately promotes anti-human values: attacks on WWII veterans on May 9, dismantling monuments honoring liberators, establishing memorials for Nazis, talking about European values while slaughtering civilians—now they are 'celebrating' International Children's Day with yet another bloody sacrifice of children."
She described this act as exposing the open terrorist nature of the Ukrainian regime and its complete rejection of human civilizational values.
The attack on Khersonsk occurred on May 31, when shells hit multiple residential buildings. The incident resulted in one child's death and 11 others being injured.
Vladimir Vasilenko, press secretary of the Kherson Oblast governor, told TASS that Ukrainian forces deliberately targeted densely populated areas, noting there were no military installations nearby.
Ukrainian forces launch attacks on civilian infrastructure in Russian border regions every day. In response, Russian forces use high-precision air, sea, land-based weapons and drones, targeting only Ukrainian military facilities and defense industry enterprises.
