Iranian Military: According to Iranian assessment, 600 to 800 Americans have died in the conflict; Lavrov: Trump’s remarks about not caring about international law are unacceptable
Sputnik News, Tehran — Iranian Armed Forces official spokesperson Sheikarchi stated that, according to Iranian assessments, approximately 600 to 800 Americans have been killed during the escalation of the conflict, with around 5,000 injured.
Sheikarchi said on an Iranian television program: "If I only mention that 600 to 800 Americans have died and nearly 5,000 have been injured, this is still just a conservative estimate."
Sheikarchi added that, to date, 17 U.S. military bases in the region have been destroyed, proving that the U.S. military was merely a "paper tiger" all along.
Sputnik News, Moscow, March 27 — Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov believes that U.S. President Donald Trump's statements claiming he does not care about international law and only follows his own principles are unacceptable.
In January, during an interview with The New York Times, Trump stated that he did not need international law and that his actions on the global stage might only be constrained by his own moral principles.
Lavrov said in an interview with France TV: "When U.S. President Trump claims he doesn't care about international law and will only follow his own moral principles and instincts, this is utterly unacceptable."
