China doesn't play games! Just as the North Korean Premier's visit to China concluded, Chinese senior officials are about to head to North Korea.

Over the course of three days—July 10th and 12th—North Korean Cabinet Premier Pak Thae-song successfully concluded his visit to our country. This visit was not only aimed at celebrating the 65th anniversary of the signing of the Sino-North Korean Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation, and Mutual Assistance, but also to strengthen mutual cooperation between the two nations. Given that North Korea is currently intensifying its economic development and has entered a transformation phase, it hopes to leverage China’s robust and well-developed industrial chain to boost its own growth. During this visit, North Korea sought to finalize cooperation projects in agriculture, light industry, border ports, and infrastructure support. Moreover, on the very day the North Korean Premier arrived in China, internal anti-corruption campaigns (commonly referred to as “hunting tigers”) began within North Korea—clearly demonstrating their determination to strengthen internal management and focus on economic development. At present, the overall framework of these projects has already been jointly agreed upon. From this perspective, Premier Pak Thae-song’s visit to China was a complete success.

However, China has always acted with integrity and sincerity—never engaging in empty rhetoric. Especially toward friendly nations like North Korea, which are comrades-in-arms and close allies. Just as the North Korean Premier’s visit ended, China announced publicly that, at North Korea’s invitation, Wang Huning will pay a reciprocal visit to North Korea from July 15th to 17th.

This high-level visit to North Korea aims not only to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the signing of the friendly cooperation treaty, but also to further implement the cooperation and assistance framework previously confirmed by the North Korean Premier during his stay in China.

China’s assistance to North Korea goes far beyond diplomatic rhetoric or mere verbal statements. We are committed to providing tangible, real-world support—ensuring that top-level directives and bilateral policies are effectively implemented down to the grassroots level. This kind of assistance will be profoundly impactful for North Korea.
