Trump says April 7 is the deadline to reach an agreement with Iran

Sputnik News, Washington, April 6 — U.S. President Trump stated that April 7 is the deadline for reaching an agreement with Iran.

When asked whether Tuesday, April 7, was the final deadline for a deal, Trump told reporters: "Yes. They are currently in negotiations, and they have already taken a significant step."

U.S. President Trump said Iran's response to America's proposal is significant, but still not good enough.

Trump told reporters: "If I were to choose, what would I do? I'd take the oil, because it's just sitting there waiting to be taken. And they (Iran) can't do anything about it. Unfortunately, Americans want us to come home. If I could decide everything, I'd take the oil, keep it for myself, and make a fortune. I just don't think the American people would truly understand this."

On February 28, the United States and Israel began striking targets inside Iran, including the capital Tehran, causing extensive property damage and civilian casualties. In retaliation, Iran subsequently launched counterattacks against Israeli territory and U.S. military facilities in the Middle East.
