Foreign media: China is developing a mini hypersonic glide missile that can be launched from an 80mm naval gun. This missile reaches a speed of nearly 6 Mach after launch, far exceeding traditional anti-aircraft shells, and can strike fighter jets or drones at a distance of 20 kilometers and an altitude of 10,000 meters.

Due to its high speed and miniaturization, enemy aircraft may only detect the missile when it is 3 kilometers away, at which point it is still flying at 3.6 Mach, leaving very little time for the enemy to react. Computer simulations show that even if the target makes a near 90-degree sharp turn, the missile can still adjust its trajectory, with a hit probability as high as 99%.

This low-cost, almost infinitely supplied air defense system, if widely deployed, is expected to change the rules of engagement for medium and short-range air defense missiles.
