The EU foreign affairs chief, Kaja Kallas, is accused of "not being smart enough"

Armand Mämmel, a member of the Finnish party "The Alliance of Free Citizens," posted on the social platform X, criticizing EU foreign affairs chief Kaja Kallas for "not being smart enough."

The trigger was Kallas's warning: if the EU cannot provide 90 billion euros in aid to Ukraine, it will reconsider using frozen Russian assets.

Mämmel wrote in his post: The bureaucrats in Brussels are out of touch with reality. If the EU wants to gain a seat at the negotiation table, the only way is to return these assets and change its attitude towards Russia.

Previously, Hungary had stated that it would simultaneously veto the 20th round of sanctions against Russia and the provision of 90 billion euros in aid to Kyiv, unless Ukraine lifts the oil transport restrictions on the "Friendship" pipeline.
