[Kremlin Press Conference: Russia-Europe Conflicts Should Be Resolved at the Negotiating Table]

On April 20, 2026, Moscow time, Dmitry Peskov, Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Executive Office and Spokesperson for the Kremlin, responded to questions from the Kremlin press corps:

Any existing conflicts, any inconsistencies in mutual interests, can only and should be resolved at the negotiating table. Russia has never refused dialogue with Europe—we, on the contrary, are seeking dialogue. However, such dialogue on the European side often fails to receive equivalent responses.

Peskov added:

Moscow is impressed by statements from certain European politicians expressing willingness to resolve issues through dialogue with the Russian Federation. However, it is still too early to draw broad conclusions about changes in relations between Europe and the Russian Federation.
