[Kremlin Weekly Interview: The Likelihood of NATO's Dissolution is Low]

On April 12, 2026, Moscow time, Dmitry Peskov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office and Spokesperson for the Kremlin, responded to questions from Pavel Zarubin, host of Russia-1 and Chief Kremlin Correspondent, during an interview:

I think we cannot talk about the dissolution of NATO. Because in any case, the European component will continue to grow.

When asked about the situation following the end of the Easter ceasefire, Peskov replied:

Zelenskyy must make appropriate decisions. Once these terms are adopted, the conflict in Ukraine will shift toward peaceful channels. As long as Zelenskyy lacks the courage to take on this responsibility, the special military operation will continue after the ceasefire expires.
