According to RTBF TV, citing a spokesperson from Liège Airport, Belgian airspace has been fully closed after drones were found in the areas of Brussels and Liège airports, with flights diverted to Maastricht in the Netherlands and Cologne in Germany. The TV station quoted the spokesperson as saying, "All airspace over Belgium has been closed."
Earlier reports stated that at least one drone was spotted over the area of Brussels International Airport, and after the airport was closed, flights were redirected to Liège Airport. However, it was later learned that Liège Airport was also closed for the same reason. The Liège Airport has now established an emergency command center.
