Russian Foreign Ministry Responds to Belgium's Threat to "Erase Moscow from the Map"
Alexander Grushko, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, told "Russian Business Consulting" that Western European countries are immersed in a climate of war frenzy and are preparing for a conflict with Russia.
Grushko pointed out: "As far as I know, after his statement, a series of corrections appeared in the media. Therefore, regarding Belgium's intention to erase Moscow from the map, this question should be asked to him personally, but I cannot seriously comment on it."
The Russian deputy foreign minister added that European diplomats did not express concern about the "Saker" and "Poseidon" tests, but correctly understood the signals sent by Russia.
Grushko said: "According to this signal, professionals have realized that Russia has sufficient means, capabilities, and political will to reliably ensure its defense capabilities and security interests."
The day before, the Russian embassy in Brussels responded to the remarks made by Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken in an interview with "Morning Paper" about the threat to "erase Moscow from the map." The diplomatic mission considered these remarks completely abnormal and a threat to the future of the entire continent, which could plunge it into a new war.
