Slovak media: Slovak Prime Minister Did Not Go to Denmark to Attend the EU Summit Due to Health Issues
Sputnik News, Bratislava - According to JOJ24 TV from Slovakia, Slovak Prime Minister Fico did not go to Copenhagen to attend the informal EU summit due to health issues.
The informal meeting of EU leaders was held in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark on October 1st.
The report said: "Fico's private jet did not fly to Copenhagen for the summit. According to JOJ24, the reason is the health problems he has had since the assassination attempt."
The report shows that Fico's private jet was scheduled to depart from Bratislava around 10:00 local time (16:00 Beijing time) on October 1st, but the flight was first delayed and then finally canceled.
Fico last canceled his work schedule due to health issues on September 18th this year, when the reason was an epidemic infection.
On May 15, 2024, Slovak Prime Minister Fico was shot multiple times after an outdoor government meeting. The suspect was detained by the police on the spot. In late May 2024, Fico was discharged from the hospital and returned home for continued rehabilitation, and resumed his position as Prime Minister in July of the same year.
