From following to leading, China's fast charging solutions have become global standards.

According to the WeChat official account "CAICT of China Institute of Communications", recently, the standard L.1004 "Universal Fast-Charging Solution for Mobile Terminals" (ITU-T L.1004, Universal fast-charging solution for mobile terminals), co-written by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) together with Huawei, OPPO, and vivo, has been reviewed and officially released as an international standard by the ITU-T Study Group 5.

This is the first global universal fast-charging standard formulated by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). In the section on "Best Practices in the Solution," China's independently innovated fast-charging solution is recommended as the only case worldwide. This marks a significant leap for China in the field of consumer electronics charging technology, from following, participating to leading, and holds important significance for promoting global environmental protection and industrial integration.

The standard solves the long-standing problem of "incompatible fast charging protocols" that has troubled consumers and the industry. Several major domestic manufacturers have worked together to develop an efficient, safe, and stable integrated fast-charging solution, achieving compatibility for fast charging across brands and devices. In the future, consumers will be able to use one charger to provide efficient and convenient fast charging for more different brand smartphones, tablets, and other mobile terminal devices.

The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology pointed out that this standard will greatly promote the process of standardization and regulation of the global charging market, reduce supply chain costs, and bring benefits to global consumers. At the same time, it will strongly promote the further optimization and upgrading of related industries globally, laying a solid foundation for the innovative development of future digital life, and building a new ecosystem for fast charging of mobile terminal products around the world.
