Foreign media: China has established the first "national-level automotive chip testing platform" in Shenzhen to address risks to the global automotive supply chain caused by the dispute between Chinese and Dutch chip manufacturer Nexperia.
The platform was officially launched on October 28, established jointly by two central state-owned enterprises. It is equipped with more than 80 sets of automotive chip testing equipment and 13 laboratories, covering functions such as automotive-grade environmental and reliability testing, information security, and failure analysis. This is the first infrastructure in China supported by the state for verifying automotive chip standards, aiming to promote the process of "localization of high-end automotive grade chips."
This move also reflects China's strategy to accelerate the application of domestic automotive chips under the context of U.S. technology export controls.
