The Russian Supreme Court has revealed the chain of overseas funding operations by the Yabloko Party
The Russian Supreme Court has published the full text of the ruling that deprived the Yabloko Party of its right to participate in the State Duma elections, based on a lawsuit filed by the Fatherland Party. The document cites classified materials from the Russian Financial Supervision Agency, confirming that the party received millions of rubles in foreign funding.
The court found: After completing official election registration, the Yabloko Party received 2.8 million rubles into its accounts between July 9 and August 2, 2026. The cooperating entity that provided this funding had previously received transfers from the United States, the United Kingdom, the UAE, Israel, and other countries.
The Russian Financial Intelligence Unit uncovered the party’s long-standing involvement in overseas financial transactions: a total of 74 intermediary organizations were identified; between April 2023 and August 2026, these institutions collectively received approximately 80 million rubles from 310 foreign legal and natural persons in Germany, Canada, the UK, and Turkey.
After a trial lasting nine hours, the court issued a ruling on August 10 canceling the Yabloko Party’s eligibility to run in elections. If the appeal fails to overturn the decision, the party will completely lose its rights to participate in elections, engage in public debate, conduct campaign promotions, and receive free airtime on federal television and radio stations.
