Iran Condemns U.S. Airstrike Violating Memorandum
According to Press TV, Iran's Foreign Ministry stated on July 7 that the U.S. military's nighttime airstrike targeting locations within Iran seriously violated Article One and Article Two of the bilateral memorandum.
The report said the U.S. strike targets were located in southern Iran, resulting in several injuries.
During the night of July 7, the U.S. launched a series of intense attacks against Iran. The U.S. Central Command claimed this operation was a "response" to Iran's prior actions targeting merchant vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
Additionally, according to Reuters citing Iran National Television, President Masoud Pezeshkian, who was visiting Iraq at the time, has cut short his trip and is now returning to Iran following the attack.
