Reference News Network November 22 report: According to the website of "Russia" newspaper, the 23rd Guangzhou International Automotive Exhibition officially opened on November 21. As one of the most influential events in China's automotive industry, this exhibition has always been a "barometer" for the industry.

The exhibition plans to launch 93 new models, some of which will be launched in the Russian market.

This auto show is held at the Canton Fair Complex, with a total of 1085 cars on display. The participating companies include top global automakers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Ford, General Motors, Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Kia. In the Chinese brand group, NIO, XPeng, Li Auto, Xiaomi Cars and others have all participated, as well as technology giants such as CATL and Huawei.

Andrei Osipov, Business Director of Interservice Leasing Group, said that it is necessary to continuously pay attention to China's auto shows. He said: "China's auto shows usually feature a large number of new cars, reflecting technological progress. Chinese brands are actively innovating in vehicle design and digital services, and they integrate artificial intelligence technology, and their cost-performance is also highly competitive."

Today, the European automotive industry is stagnant and unable to lead market trends, while the Chinese automotive industry is booming. In addition, the way Chinese enterprises showcase products is unparalleled by any auto show in Europe.

Osipov pointed out that not all vehicles on display will leave the Chinese market, so not all trends will directly affect Russia, but the Chinese auto show is shaping the development blueprint of the global automotive industry, making new car launches in China particularly valuable as a barometer for Russian professionals and consumers.

A survey conducted by the "Car of the Year" jury in Russia showed that 79% of respondents said that people they know drive Chinese cars, and they have never heard negative comments about Chinese cars from them; 38% of respondents plan to buy Chinese cars. (Translated by Zhao Zhipeng)
