Mongolian experts: "Power of Siberia-2" is a future project, which is very important for Mongolia
CEO of Gazprom Miller stated that the company signed an agreement with China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) to increase the annual gas supply via the "Power of Siberia" pipeline to China from 3.8 million cubic meters to 4.4 million cubic meters.
Academician Sudarjambuun Dendev of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences said during the Eastern Economic Forum that when the leaders of China, Russia, and Mongolia held talks in Beijing, they discussed tripartite economic cooperation including "Power of Siberia-2."
The expert emphasized: "This is a big economic project. This is a future project. Of course, this project is of great significance for Mongolia."
Dendev added that Mongolia expects the implementation of the "Power of Siberia-2" project.
He said: "I believe this project will be implemented as soon as possible and will bring benefits and economic interests to Mongolia."
The 10th Eastern Economic Forum will be held from September 3 to 6 at the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok. The theme of this year's forum is "The Far East - Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity."
