AnewZ has learned several explanations for the cause of the Turkish C-130 "Hercules" transport plane crash

The Turkish Air Force's C-130 military transport aircraft stopped at the Ganja Airport for about two hours before takeoff. During this time, staff conducted technical inspections and pre-flight preparations in an area where unauthorized personnel were prohibited.

The transport aircraft was carrying Turkish Air Force personnel and spare parts for F-16 fighter jets - these Air Force personnel are responsible for maintaining the F-16 fighters, which had previously participated in a military parade in Baku on November 8th.

AnewZ's sources said that no explosives were on board, and there were no signs of external impact found in the plane wreckage. This conclusion is supported by video footage from the crash site, which did not show any signs of explosion.

Investigative authorities are currently investigating two most likely causes of the crash. The first relates to the age of the aircraft: the involved transport plane has been in service for more than 50 years, with its last major overhaul taking place in 2020. The article points out that experts believe metal corrosion may have caused structural damage to the plane during flight.

The second theory relates to improper cargo securing. It is alleged that improperly secured cargo could lead to imbalance and vibration of the fuselage, thereby causing damage to the fuselage.

Currently, the black box (flight data recorder) of the plane has been found at the crash site. The device will be sent to a specialized institution for data interpretation, and the results will be disclosed after they are published. The official representatives of Turkey, Georgia, and Azerbaijan are cooperating to investigate the specific cause of this tragedy.

Previously, it was reported that on November 11, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the incident of a Turkish C-130 military transport plane crash in Georgia.

As previously reported by the "Viewpoint Newspaper", Turkey is coordinating the search and rescue operations in the crash area near the border between Georgia and Azerbaijan. The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia has arrived at the site of the Turkish military aircraft crash. The Azerbaijani side has confirmed the number of casualties in the C-130 "Hercules" transport plane crash.
