Hun Sen said he will personally supervise the implementation of the border ceasefire agreement!
Despite repeated accusations from Thailand that the Cambodian military continues to provoke conflicts at the border, Cambodia has not acknowledged these allegations and has called on the Thai military to abide by the ceasefire agreement.
On Monday evening, Samdech Hun Sen, Chairman of the Senate of Cambodia, posted on social media that he has continued to closely monitor the implementation of the ceasefire agreement for the second consecutive day, commended all Cambodian forces for strictly abiding by the terms of the agreement, and called on the Thai side to comply with the ceasefire agreement.
"The true wish of the Cambodian people now is peace, and I believe the Thai people also hope for peace."
Hun Sen also thanked foreign military attaches who conducted on-site inspections on the Cambodian side of the border, and thanked journalists from Asia News Channel in Singapore who came to the Cambodia-Thailand border for on-site reporting.
Hun Sen emphasized that he intends to continue monitoring the situation until it is fully normalized.
"I hope I won't get sick — I don't have the right to get sick when the country and people of Cambodia are facing difficulties."
