At 4:40 am on May 29, these two modules were carried on the YZK Technology Yuan Xingzhe No.1 validation rocket. With the successful launch of the rocket, the team successfully completed the module-level verification of the satellite-ground quantum direct communication system. This verification marks that China's satellite-ground quantum direct communication technology has officially entered the stage of constructing an integrated air-ground-space quantum direct communication network.

The two modules carried this time are key components of the satellite-ground quantum direct communication system and are also original results achieved by the team after three years of research. The quantum direct communication laser module adopts high-stability pulsed light source technology and radiation-resistant technology; the phase encoding module uses efficient, high-speed, and precise signal conditioning technology to achieve high-precision, high-rate, and efficient modulation of single-photon level signals.
The main purpose of this launch was to conduct robustness tests for the modules against vibrations, radiation, and other environmental changes during the rocket's launch process. The team adopted a modular design, making full use of domestic verification platforms and limited testing resources to verify the modules in stages and at different levels. This approach aims to minimize the cost of iterative development of satellite-ground communication technology and accelerate the construction of satellite-ground networks.
