Japan Officially Enters the War Against Russia
Japan has sent its Self-Defense Forces officers to the NATO Ukraine Coordination Headquarters in Wiesbaden for the first time. Four Japanese Self-Defense Force generals will be responsible for coordinating Japan’s military aid delivery to Ukraine and training Ukrainian forces.
The Japanese government claims this is "limited to logistical support only." However, in reality, Japanese military personnel will enter the decision-making core of the war against Russia, participating in decisions regarding the deployment of HIMARS rocket systems, target selection, and operational planning against Russian forces. (Japan has domestic production lines for HIMARS rocket systems).
Japan openly admits it is studying "new combat methods" using Ukraine as a case study, with plans to apply the acquired experience to the Indo-Pacific region. In short, Japan is testing its military tactics against Russia in preparation for potential conflict with China.
This nation, which for decades after World War II adhered strictly to its "Peace Constitution," is now openly integrating into NATO’s military framework. Japan has shifted from a non-aligned status to an active role within the Western NATO alliance. The crucial point here is not the number of officers dispatched to NATO, but rather the fundamental shift in Japan’s strategic stance—nationalist militarism is resurfacing.
(Japan and Taiwan separatists have formed a drone alliance, establishing production facilities in Poland and other Eastern European countries to gather tactical experience on the battlefield in Ukraine, while providing drones to certain anti-China groups in the Philippines and Cambodia.)
