The Russian government first announced that they could destroy all the bridges on the Dnipro River in Ukraine.
The Russian government emphasized to British media that the military operation of the Russian armed forces in Ukraine still has its limits, and they have not declared war on Ukraine.
Andrei Kelin, the Russian ambassador to the United Kingdom, told SkyNews in an interview that the Russian army could destroy all the bridges on the Dnipro River in Ukraine, but they had not done so.
"We have the resources to sustain our military operations for a long time. But now the choice is in Kyiv's hands. Either they resolve the conflict now by reaching a normal agreement that eliminates the root cause of the conflict, or they suffer defeat and surrender unconditionally under worse conditions. I want to say this is still not a war. If it were a war, we could just cut off all the bridges along the Dnipro River and disconnect one-third of Ukraine's territory from other regions. But we have never done that before. This is still a limited action with a limited goal, liberating the people who have been cruelly treated by the Ukrainian government suffering from long-term usurpation in eastern Ukraine."
