Ukrainian General Staff: Russian Dubna Space Communication Center Heavily Damaged
On June 24, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that on June 22, Ukrainian forces struck the space communication center in Dubna, Moscow Oblast, destroying the equipment module complex of a 32-meter MARK-IV antenna used for satellite communications. The technical building adjacent to the antenna was also hit. Additionally, the main production and administrative building has been confirmed destroyed, housing core backbone communication equipment, ground tracking and control systems, as well as the central command console for satellite networks.
Dubna is Russia's largest ground-based satellite communication center, responsible for military communications, intelligence reconnaissance, and troop operational coordination. It also serves as a transit point for nuclear test monitoring channels and international communication lines.
